What is the right way to invite/interest young people (18-25) in social nudity?
Interested in how I can be more successful in sharing the benefits and fun of social nudity to the 18-25 crowd. Any positive input is welcome. Guess it is THE question of all of us ‘mature’ nudists that want our way of life to survive!
Younger nudists don’t like resorts or clubs for a couple of reasons. The cost, and that they feel like they’re back under adult supervision. Try a beach party at a local nude beach, or hook them up with Young Naturists. http://nudistnaturistamerica.org/

LikeDislikeEncourage them to join a naturist youth organization, or to start a local one, such as Florida Young Naturists.
Working with Sunsport Gardens Resort and South Florida Free Beaches (Haulover Beach), this group has grown to near 200 participants within a few years, holding periodic events at resorts and at beaches.
For resorts, you need to hold events of interest such as fire drum circles, volleyball tournaments, etc.

Rock Lodge Club, in Stockholm, NJ has been providing a venue for young naturist gatherings for two seasons now.
The club is located in Northern New Jersey and only 42 miles from New York City.
Coming up 2012 it will host two young naturist weekends: July 13-15 and August 17-19
….with affordable costs for young folks.
The list of events at these gatherings includes: body painting, bonfires, drum circles, volleyball, swimming in the lake, boating, tennis, ping pong, etc.

LikeDislikeI got into nudism at that age or just before 18 it was just solo at the time but for me I found the biggest hurdle was other teens in general who for them nudity was something to be emberrased about, made fun of. I remember my neighbor freind she caught me in another freinds pool skinnydipping and we all were pretty much around 14-15, she came into the backyard saw us and right away began to laugh and run telling everyone else on the street what she saw…funny part was few weeks later she had a party and had the guys go inside so the girls all could skinnydip but to her that was “cool” but my skinnydipping was made fun of. So I feel overall when younger adults really feel that nudity is nothing to be ashamed,shy,emberrased about then you will find social nudity among them more common. I just wanted to offer a insight more as to maybe why there are so few young nudists then just how to set up a local nude swim hoping to get them to take the bait.

LikeDislikeI am a 23 year old nudist in the DC area. My husband and I recently started a local chapter of Vita Nuda. I think that this is going to be the most effective way to help get new young people involved in nudism. Every day more and more young people are joining groups like ours and a handful of others out there.

LikeDislikeGroups like the Florida Young Naturists, Young Naturists America, Young British Naturists should be more aggressive with their outreach. Same for landed and non-landed clubs near colleges and urban areas with younger demographics.
Do info sessions at the local college, sponsor free events with music that appeals to them. Sponsor cross over events such as learning yoga, message,native plants,hiking/camping,and so on.
