Hot Springs In the northeast
does anyone know of any free hot springs in the north east? Preferably one where I dont have to bring a bathing suit!

LikeDislikeThere probably are none. That’s a Western US and Canadian Thing i.e. Esalen Insttiute, Harbin Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park etc. Geothermal springs seem to exist only out West.

LikeDislikeI would have to agree with Ron. I know that there is Harrison Hot Springs in British Columbia and SO many more. You could try to Google “Hot Springs” “Northeast” (quotation marks included) and find out what comes up.

LikeDislikeAccording to the USGS and Soak.net (which for whatever reason I cannot get to load and link) there are only two “warm” springs in the northeastern US. One is in Williamstown MA and, so far as I know, it is a public pool. I have only driven by the facility. It is only a “warm” spring, meaning the temp is below 80F. It is also not clothing-optional, so I really had no reason to go in. The other is not too far away in New York called Lebanon Spring. I never got to check this out either.

The problem with most hot springs east of the Mississippi is that they were developed for commercial use WAY back in the day, so finding one that is C/O is pretty tough. Even some of the bigger ones out west are not C/0. The ones that are are generally undeveloped, remote, or purposely kept C/0 as a private business or a non-profit.
I’ve been to many C/O hot springs in CO, NM, and CA.
