For those of you who have, How did your extended family react when you told them you were a nudist?
I am just interested in seeing how others have encountered relatives reactions upon them finding out you were a nudist. Did they push you away, alienate you etc?
Nobody had a single problem with the news at all, although some are more careful to call before dropping over. Most don’t seem to mind at all!

LikeDislikeMy mother and brother are fine, with my choice. My wifes grandmother and aunt threatened to ssend DCFS after us. they also threatened to try to get custody of our children. They did neither, and my wife chose to remove them from her life. She felt the people we know at our camp werewere better influences for our children.

LikeDislikeMy family thinks I’m nuts anyway, so they accept the fact that I am happy with my life. (P.S. Will be 83 this month)

LikeDislikeWhen I told my Mom I was a nudist, her reply was “Do you think?” She already knew, and was waiting for me to inform them!

LikeDislikemy family knows and are ok with it. we took our kids but as they got older they stopped. we take our granddaughter she loves it.. she calls it the Naked store LOL..
Some of my close family are ready to kick me out of the family! They can’t understand me. I don’t get it!

LikeDislikeFor me mine did the two-face routine, to my face they would be positive, supportive that I am a nudist. But when I wasn’t around they would say how perverted or sick I was for being so comfortable in the nude in front of family members. They all tell me they have not disowned me but yet they never talk to me or try to talk to me..
