Why did God make us clothes?
Nudists say God does wants us to be naked because we were born this way so why then did He make us clothes?
Nudists say God does wants us to be naked because we were born this way so why then did He make us clothes?
Other than to keep warm in cold weather, good question. It just can’t be explained for any reason other than to keep warm.

LikeDislikeHe gave us clothse because we felt ashamed of our human form, which being ashamed is not a good thing so he resolved this by being able to cover them up.

LikeDislikeSo, wouldn’t one of the best descriptions of nudists be to say they are people not ashamed of their bodies?

LikeDislikeI would agree, that nudists are not ashamed of their bodies. They appreciate the human form and find it beautiful in all its glory.

LikeDislikeNot quite. There was nothing wrong with our nudity until we blew it and got kicked out of the Garden

LikeDislikeGod didn’t make clothes for us. We made clothes for ourselves. Adam and Eve hid themselves and God asked them why they were hiding themselves. They said (not God) that they were naked and ashamed. So.they made something to cover themselves.

LikeDislikeWe created clothing out of natural substances, like animal skins, to protect us from the elements

LikeDislikeThe following is a quote from my book Gender Values … a proposal of marriage in a bottle, within the Chapter entitled My Need To Be Nude. While the whole quote answers the question, “Why did God Make Us Clothes?”, The second paragraph is more direct…

Mankind’s endorsement of God’s love, is the lie via religion-politics-and status. A lie is the human effort to remove God’s eyes from our selfish intentions, using pretense (Atheism by necessity-or-the common comforts) to execute free will with the authority of what is deemed good, by the human endorsement of peerage. What is deemed good by common human peerage, is first and best served with the use of clothing (especially using “colors”-fashion trends-or official wear), in the attempt to free ourselves of the forged shame that human endorsement postulates, robbing us of our meaning by divine design. God’s endorsement of love for Mankind, is the body-by-gender via free agency-mortality-and the Resurrection. The body-by-gender is the capacity of human consciousness to recognize love without pretense, which is first and best served with the absence of clothing, in the effort of free agency to remain free of the lies by original sin, that love can bear our truth with the gift of the Resurrection. Mortality bears the human capacity to accept love without pretense, which is first and best served with the faith that doesn’t dismiss what we can’t account for with knowledge, that trust can endorse our love with the gift of meaning through spiritual need.
To not participate in nudism is a choice to be respected as ones liberty. This as an act of inhibition, is the second proposal of free agency enacted by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden that God answered with clothing, to better prepare them for the fate of their first proposal…secrecy. Like a gift-verses-a judgment of their sin, much like giving charity to the homeless who must face their own depravity to the conclusion of their character, God was being merciful towards their first proposal to live independent of trust.

LikeDislikeYou people want to wear clothes? Go for it. Just don’t get in my face when you see me in the proper environment without clothes.

LikeDislikeToo me, (within the Christian relm) Jesus bridges the gap for human kind to have communion with the Father again. The cross didn’t just take care of sin, it gave full access to life and love. I believe that includes going back to the oringinal plan. Go and sin no more, love your neighbor as yourself, and get naked! :)

God did not make clothes, man made clothes.

LikeDislikeClothing offers protection from the elements. That’s the simple anthropological reason people all over the world wear clothes. If one follows The Book of Genesis, the parable is that we had no shame for our nudity until we partook of the tree of knowledge. This can be interpreted in endless ways. But there is a prominent nude resort owner in Palm Springs who was a pastor, and his feelings on this changed a lot when hits wife had breast cancer. In the end they decided God did not intend for us to have shame. Shame is a manmade construct.

LikeDislikeThe Bible does not say why. Though it indicates it is good for protection(warmth) and also for religious practice, symbolism, and for identification.
