I would not let my son look at a playboy or any sexually explicit magazine. I realize though he will have friends who may have access to these types of magazines that he will see so I will need to talk with him about how those publications portray sex vs. the true reality of sex.
I would however let him read a nude recreation publication such as N magazine, AANR news letter, NUSA Sun, Naturally, etc. so he can learn that nudity does not equal sex.
My opinion, sexually explicit publications like playboy make people think the wrong thing about sex that sex starts with nudity when in reality sex usually starts with some mystery that is typically accomplished by covering up with some type of textile.
This is like asking, do athletes let their kids read Playboy? There’s no connection between parents being nudists and letting their kids read any kind of publication, other than nudist ones perhaps.
I agree with Felicity. No connection. Having nothing to do with being a nudist, I don’t believe one should encourage their children to view sexually explicit content. But they’re going to see it on the Internet a lot more than in print anyways, so it’s best to address human sexuality head on with them. That’s just being a good parent, whether one is nudist or not.
