Do you think lingerie is appropriate or inappropriate in nudist / naturist settings?
Should lingerie be allowed? This question sounds like an oxymoron, but what clothing, if any, shouldn’t be allowed in nudist places? I’m curious to hear everyone’s thoughts!
I think it is fine after the kid’s curfew at the resort so after around 9 or 10 pm. It is really the parent’s call then how much their children are exposed to it after that. We should not ignore our sexuality completely so in my oppinion there is an appropriate time and an inappropriate time for it at a naturist resort and the same goes in a child’s development. Expose them to early and you steal their innocents (which is being taken away regarless of this with school shootings, sexually explicite advertisments, etc.). Ignore it completely and you delay their sexual understanding of themsleves or let it up to something/someone else to shape their thinking.
Replying to Ian’s 2nd comment above, a number of nudist clubs and resorts have adults-only parties at night where people wear lingerie. Nothing overtly sexual goes on as far as behavior, as that would be seen as truly crossing the line of nudism, but many women wear lingerie. These clubs also say they are “family-oriented” as most claim to be, whether there are kids around or not. It’d be unusual to see it during the day, but it’s an interesting question for that scenario as well, though the person would probably be told to take it off at most places.
Many women find lingerie to be more comfortable than wearing other clothing. Even so, I don’t see how that is any more comfortable than being naked is and I don’t appreciate the tension it causes playing “peek-a-boo” in an environment where selective concealment isn’t welcome.
