LikeDislikeI think it’s creepy. I feel that if it’s cold enough to put on a shirt, then I want to put pants or shorts on too.

LikeDislikeNot always David. I know many who will put button up shirt on but not button it and yet have no other clothes on.

LikeDislikeI am fair skinned and I have done this many times to keep the sun off my back, chest, or shoulders so I do not burn.

LikeDislikeIt’s all about common sense, and only wearing as much as one needs too. Sometimes, early in the morning, many will only have a shirt on, at our camp. Once the sun starts heating things up, they are off.

LikeDislikeWhen I’m just wearing a shirt it’s because it’s a bit chilly out. Why does that make a difference. The human body can tolerate being colder in the lower regions than around the core (shoulder and chest). As someone else posted, I’ll often do this until it warms up a bit and then the shirt comes off.

LikeDislikeShoulders will burn faster than most any other part of the body on the other hand …. if the trunk of the body is warm you are more comfortable and that may be all you need.

LikeDislikeA state of dress that’s typically unique to the naturist world, since it’s not uncommon to see topless men in public and in some places topless women. Bottoms are usually required outside of naturist places.
Maybe there’s no specific name for it because of that, since naturists can be in various states of “dress,” wearing only a zipper jacket, or a t-shirt, etc. without the need to categorize or name it all.
But hey words and slang are always being invented, so who knows, there might eventually be a term for it! :)

LikeDislikeOk, well we know we’re not going to call it THAT. That’s just perverse and tactless of them to say that to you. Not a common phrase as far as I know, it’ll need to be named something else if we ever do name it!
I’m surprised no one said “bottomless.” That’s usually what I’ve heard it being called.
Bottomlessness is usually about protection. For my wife it was also about being able to walk around without the “giggly breasts” effect.
