If nude recreation became a widely acceptable and legal recreation, what affect do you think this would have on existing businesses and groups who currently promote nudism? Would these resorts go under because their facilities would have greater expectations by attending members given the supply and demand is greater? Would clubs and organizations disappear if nudism became a widely acceptable lifestyle where one would no longer need to congregate in backyards to experience nudism?

This would be a useful entry level experience for those not yet club ready and would provide a pool of potential candidates for club membership. I can think of no reason why the clubs should not enthusiastically support it.

More importantly, however, let us get our heads together and plan a strategy for the “legaliaztion of nude recreation” and think of ways that the clubs can participate. It’ll not be easy and it’ll take the participation of nudists everywhere working together to make this a reality.

I think it would depend on the amenities a club has to offer. Places such as a developed hot spring resort would probably fair well because they are offering something other resorts can’t. Granted there are textile hot springs as well, and they may suck some business away, but not enough to drastically alter the revenue of the current C/O hot springs.

I think landed clubs would retain a good deal of their membership as well. Many places have cabins owned by their members and the members come to those places not just because of nudity, but because of the social relationships they have with other members. Day use visitors might drop. I know if I could be nude at the lake five minutes from my house I would be less inclined to drive 90 minutes to the closest nudist club.

Hard to say with non-landed clubs. In Europe where nudity is more common there are still organizations that travel for social nudity. However if nudity was so common that wearing a swimsuit was looked upon as odd and co-ed locker rooms were the norm, then non-landed clubs would probably be unnecessary.
