Where can I go to try outdoor nudism?
I’ve been a home nudist for a while, but I’ve never been outdoors in the nude. So before I try social nudism, I was wondering what places there is to go to be nude outdoors legally. Can I go nude in woodlands or forests where no one can see me?
If you’re in the U.S., you probably can’t legally do that (it’s usually considered indecent exposure). Here is a listing of public nudity laws by state: http://nudistnaturistamerica.org/nudity-laws-by-state
But if there’s no one around, who’s going to stop you! I used to skinny-dip in the lake in the woods behind my house and never had a problem. There was almost never anybody else back there, aside from people in a boat out on the water sometimes. So if it’s like that where you are, I say go for it! A lot hikers do it too out in the wilderness.
When I was younger, my friends and I would find woods and beaches and other places off the beaten track to shed our clothing, but the problem was always the same,,,,,we couldn’t enjoy our nudity 100% because we were always looking over our shoulders for someone to come along and spoil it.

LikeDislikeFelicity is correct. Unfortunately, there is no specific kind of place (state park, etc.) in all 50 states that 100% guarantees a right to be nude outdoors.
The key is to find someplace where people aren’t likely to be, and while at the same time safe. When I was growing up I lived on a dead-end street, and there was a wooded area at the end of the street where almost nobody ever went. There was a guy from another neighborhood who owned part of the woods, and he would walk back there once in a while. But usually I had it to myself. That’s were I first tried outdoor nudity.
