Which is more prevalent… nudist men who shave their body hair or men who don’t?
Later this summer my wife and will have our first nudist experience. Naturally I’ve been checking things out on the web and I’ve noticed that a lot of men remove or trim their body hair to varing degrees. I do not intend to but I’m a little self-conscious about the whole body hair question. Is removing body hair currently the norm?
This is a common concern for people who are about to try naturism for the first time. The answer is do whatever you want! Really, nobody is going to judge you or care this way or that. But if you want to know what the trend is, today there is overall a lot less body hair on people these days. I’d say how much body hair you see depends on where you go and what the demographic is, with naturist places. Younger people definitely shave or wax off more. But you will likely see a variety of different looks from a lot of hair to none at all.
Hope your first experience is a positive one!

LikeDislikeThank you Felicity, for answering my question. I am sure this subject is one that experienced naturists are tired of talking about. I really do appreciate you taking the time to post an answer. Both my wife and I are looking forward to our first naturist experience. Thanks again.

LikeDislikeI notice at the gym that a lot of people shave, so I take it that it’s really more of a personal choice than having anything to do with naturism. Personally, I don’t like the look and find it to be too much trouble. That said, I’ve had a well trimmed beard my entire adult life for the same reasons.

LikeDislikelol You know, I’ve been a nudist almost all of my life…been in a Spencer Tunick installation with about 1000 men and 1000 women. I’ve been on many clothing optional cruises….. honestly, I don’t know. My sister-in-law asked me that very same question, ’cause her son and his friends who play hockey, do shave. The ladies at aquafit at the Y, asked me privately if I manscape…. Yes, I do. (My swimwear kind of hints that I do. :) ) I think it’s cleaner and feels great while walking the promenade deck of a cruise ship, feeling the warm Caribbean breezes on your fully naked body.

LikeDislikeI’m lucky if I take the time to comb my hair let alone manscape. I’d hate to think that people at nudist/naturist clubs feel pressure to do one or the other though. Everyone should do what they like and feel confident and happy about themselves.

LikeDislikeI shave my back because of the meds I’m on make hair grow on my body like crazy. For me personally my back hair has always bugged me because it’s itchy. but that is me.. For Back hair I use BakBlade.com it’s awesome. For all other hair. It really doesn’t matter. Nobody really cares. Do what you do to make YOU happy.
