On behalf of a non-nudist friend. How does a newbie get over the initial shyness?
I am writing this question on behalf of a friend who has never tried going to a nudist location. She is very open to the idea but not ready to take the plunge. Please share your stories of getting over the initial shyness.
People usually suggest visiting a clothing-optional resort / club or nude beach (beaches are always clothing-optional). Some places are essentially clothing-optional except for the pool / sauna / hot tub. So when you visit there’s no immediate pressure to undress, and you can pursue it at your own pace. Most places are accommodating of newbies, but of course would become suspicious if you kept wearing clothes ALL the time.
I’d also suggest starting by going naked at home by yourself or with a friend. This way you can get comfortable with your body and being naked.
Really, it’s taking the plunge with the first 5 minutes being the hardest part. Once you do it, I think you’ll find yourself at ease quicker than you think! People get nervous, but many find themselves adjusting and relaxing within a short time.
So, give it a try..what have you got to lose except your clothes, right? ;) At worst, you’ll have a story to tell after, and at best, you’ll discover a wonderful new way of enjoying life! :)

LikeDislikeYou know what people at a naturist resort do when they first see you nude? They wave and say “Hi”! In the naturist world, there is no hiding anything or making believe you are somebody else. All you get is the true person.
