Safe areas to Freehike / nude hiking in Los Angeles area?
Its 2015, where are some non-resort locations that are safe for freehiking? I’ve read about some but they were old reports and lacked detail.
I can’t go to a Resort because my wife doesnt do clothing free (or optional)
I’ve been to Blacks Beach, but looking for other locations
Not sure if you’re still looking for answers to this question, but here goes: Basically anywhere in a National Forest is fine. Simple nudity is not against the law. At the very northern tip of Glendale there is a park called Deukmejian Wilderness Park which is almost entirely on Natn’l Forest land. There are several hiking trailheads there. During the week there are very few people hiking up there, so it’s become my fave place to go. I do the first mile or so clothed, after that the shirt and shorts go in the pack. You can go all the way up to Mt. Lukens. 4.3 miles, 2700 feet elevation gain.

LikeDislikeBureau of Land Management land is also ok. National Parks may have nudity rules in place, however, the area around Saline Valley Hot Springs is also ok. Check with the ranger station but in my experience, Joshua Tree has always been nude friendly in the backcountry.
In State Parks, you are out of luck.
