FInding a location that does not mind nudists
So with fall coming in many of the beach goers are looking to have events they can go to nude.
How do you find locations that would not mind renting a hall to a nudist group?
This can be tricky depending on what type of event you’d be looking to do and where. I’ve found that some places have a “no nudity” clause written into their lease so they can’t host a nude event even if they wanted to. The other factor is if you want to do a party with alcohol, there may be local laws against it (meant to target strip clubs and the like) so be aware of that.
But in general, it’s a good idea to ask friends for help or suggestions. Sometimes people happen to know the owner of a studio or business that might be open to it and can ask them or connect you with them.
In addition to general internet searches, CraigsList is a good place to post for venues to find and contact you.
If there are sex / swinger-type parties hosted near you, that may be a useful way to find potential venues! If a place is open to hosting the sex groups, they should certainly be open to nudists.
With any place, be upfront about the nudity and explain what type of event it is, who will be attending, etc. For the sake of time there’s no point in going through all the details with someone and then bringing up the naked aspect only for them to say “no way.”
Don’t be too discouraged if you get a lot of no’s…it doesn’t mean that there won’t be one place that will say yes! So try to contact as many places as you can.
That about sums up my advice!
Our friend Isis also has some advice about finding a rental studio for naked yoga, some of which would apply to finding a rental space in general: http://youngnaturistsamerica.com/nude-yoga-instructor-on-how-to-start-naked-yoga-classes/
