I’m a single guy, does that matter for nudism?
I’m a single guy, will this hinder my chances in attending private nudist clubs or other certain events?

Not always, but certain clubs and resorts require you to be married.
Depends upon where you go. I can speak for Rock Lodge Club in Stockholm, NJ. Single guys can visit as well as couples and families. It’s all about behavior more then anything else. ;-)

LikeDislikeNot all discriminate on the basis of marital status but some still do. This is a good reason to actively advocate for public beaches, free hiking trails and other places where all law abiding citizens are equally welcome.

LikeDislikeI find that generally it doesn’t, however, I do my homework before visiting a new club or resort for the first time and usually call to make sure there is no issue with single males. Obviously as a single male you can go to a beach, swimming hole, or hot spring that is open to the public. A popular swimming hole I used to visit in Vermont was open to single males for a long time, but then the property owner and regulars decided to ban single males after some instances. That was a bummer because it was on my way home from work and I used to stop for a quick dip. Aside from that, only one club I’ve ever been to one club where I needed to bring a woman with me. In that case I was with a gender balanced mixed group and the guy at the desk gave us a little gruff.
I never fully understand “No Single Male” policies. I can understand if they exist in order to make women feel more comfortable, but most nudist women I know are perfectly comfortable with themselves already and generally are there with their own significant other. I rarely encounter single/solo females, even though most clubs have no policy against them. If the policies exist to keep out gay men, well, what does it matter if two men come to a club and retire to their own room/tent or if heterosexual couple does the same thing? Is it to prevent gawkers and pedophiles? Well…people like that don’t go to nudist clubs anyway because they would have to show ID and anyone with a camera will be met with questions and possibly asked to leave.
So why have the policies? All private clubs get out of this is a bad rap from other singles and they lose money! If a club is struggling financially and still has a No-Singles policy it deserves to fail based simply on the fact that it’s a bad business practice.
