will being nude in public boost your confidence in both a nude and clothed seting?

I think it will, for the simple fact that you will become more comfortable with your body. If you are more comfortable with yourself, this normally will increase your confidence. By being with nudists, you will realize that normally nudists are non judgemental, and we get to know the real person. If a persons confidence is truly just a facade, normally that becomes really apparent, normally a person with false sense of security won’t visit a socially nude environment, but if they do, they normally leave with a new, grounded self worth. It is amazing to see a person that is hung up on labels, come to a socially nude event, and how quickly you will see them shed the falseness. I have a friend that is considering some “plastic surgery”, and I have been trying to convince her to head over to the closest clothing optional beach, to see if she changes her outlook.
I was very shy as a teenager and young adult. Cripplingly shy. I knew I needed to face it and somehow get over it, but nothing worked. Away on business in my early 20’s in San Diego, I heard people talking about Black’s Beach. Curious and there for the weekend, I decided to go see what it was all about. It took an hour before I accepted the self-dare to disrobe. Another half hour before I got up and went into the water. Another hour before I was surfing and going back and forth to my towel. Then a couple hours more before I was walking down the beach. And by the end of the day, I was talking with people and playing volleyball.
It worked. I continued to seek out and visit nude beaches, then nudist resorts, then local clubs. It changed my life. I became a new person. Confident clothed or nude.

It increased my confidence. Not that I needed it. I was in a career where I was forced to be passionate and confident. But it did help me calm the hell down, and it helped me see into people’s hearts at a deeper level.
