Many debate the definition of the label nudism so I’d like to ask you what you think is and isn’t a nudist…If a person never leaves their house naked nor do they ever appear naked around others socially, are they still considered a nudist even if they enjoy being naked in the privacy of their own home?

Why is the word sex so taboo in nudism? If people don’t have a problem talking about sex and sexuality while clothed, then why is it such a no no when naked? Isn’t the idea of nudism is to simply be naked but otherwise everything else is exactly the same?

I’ve heard many nudists say they are not ashamed to be naked around others who are like-minded; however, they appear to be ashamed to admit they like to be naked around those who have never tried it. Isn’t that almost contradictory and slightly two faced? I mean aren’t nudists supposed to be confident and comfortable with who they are? So why does this change around others where there might be conflict? I know there is a lot to think about here but I’ve always thought of this as a double standard.

If nude recreation became a widely acceptable and legal recreation, what affect do you think this would have on existing businesses and groups who currently promote nudism? Would these resorts go under because their facilities would have greater expectations by attending members given the supply and demand is greater? Would clubs and organizations disappear if nudism became a widely acceptable lifestyle where one would no longer need to congregate in backyards to experience nudism?
